JP Steps is a way of combining the function of staples and lead anchors into one product that is not only Just-Rite but close to Just Perfect.
JP Steps
It's hardware that you can climb on like a staple and also clip into like a lead anchor.
Field testing has provided the following advantages over staples and lead anchors:
- quicker installation
- fewer holes in trees to minimize infection
- large opening to clip into
- longer lifespan regarding to tree growth due to larger opening
- more surface area and a plastic top minimize cuts puncture wounds
- cannot mistakenly clip into a staple since there are none
Although only one lag screw is required in trees, an additional hole is available so builders have the option of adding either a screw or nail to eliminate rotation due to pole shrinkage. Features of JP Steps include:
- designed to be used with 5/8" lag screw or through bolt
- tested to over 10,000 lbs. without failure
- Zinc electroplated and powder coated
